The opportunity at OneStop

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a key role in improving our software development process, ensuring efficient production and deployment of applications, and achieving seamless integration of disparate systems.

You will work within the team to create and optimise our CI/CD pipeline, manage our cloud infrastructure, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and work with containerisation technologies. You will collaborate across teams to troubleshoot and resolve systems issues, enhance system performance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our DevOps procedures.

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a continuous learning mindset, possessing exceptional communication skills and a passion for bridging the gap between development and operations.

 

Working in the team you will:

  • Support development, test and production deployments in a secure and efficient manner.
  • Automate CI/CD for our development teams as well as develop and maintain the CI/CD environment.
  • Develop and maintain secure coding practices and standards.
  • Documenting practices, solutions, known issues and common troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ensure all systems, platforms and applications are compliant with and operating to relevant security and data protection standards.
  • Look for ways and come up with ideas on how to optimise and enhance our current processes.

 

What will you bring to the role?

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering, underpinned by a solid comprehension of the fundamentals of computer science and engineering principles.
  • Experience managing and operating Amazon Web Services (AWS) components, including but not limited to IAM, VPC, ECS, or the Azure equivalent.
  • Experience with Linux and scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell or Python.
  • Experience delivering infrastructure solutions as code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Proficiency in managing applications and environment configurations through Ansible or equivalent configuration management tools. 
  • Experience creating, maintaining, or optimising CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools such as Git, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline & CodeBuild.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security practices and networking.
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science.
  • Exceptional communications skill both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate and influence stakeholder both internally & externally.

 

OneStop’s office is currently based in Redfern, but we are moving to a fantastic new Sydney CBD office within the next few months!

Please note that while OneStop offers a highly flexible working environment, our employees MUST be based in Sydney or live within a reasonable commuting distance of our Sydney office.
