The opportunity at OneStop

Reporting to the Cloud Team Leader you will be working with a team of systems administrators to manage and maintain our infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies and real-time data. Collaborate with our teams to ensure best practices are maintained, good technical solutions are in place and provide third level user support for all network and PC related issues. You will be part of a fast-paced agile environment and required to deliver quality projects and services in accordance with company strategic timelines.

 

In this role of Cloud Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and support the base infrastructure in AWS.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure builds, changes and configuration.
  • Backup/Restore, Network and Domain Administration.
  • Administer, support, and monitor our systems.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the team.
  • Implement procedures, processes, and tools to release software without disrupting production systems or end-users.
  • Tune, trouble shoot and be an on-call production support on infrastructure deployed in multi-AZ AWS environments on the EC2/on-premises, serverless and container platforms.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, Product teams, Application Support, and Customer Service, to ensure assigned tasks are delivered on time and appropriate information is shared to enable effective decision making.
  • Research new and innovative technical solutions to deliver cost effective and efficient IT Systems.
  • Be an on-call support for scheduled/unscheduled issues and outages.

 

 

What we’re looking for?

  • Technical knowledge of AWS namely, RDS, VPC, EKS, ECS, Ec2, AWS CLI, S3, CloudWatch, etc.
  • 2-3 years’ experience using Python, Ruby or any other scripting language.
  • Experience with CI/CD, automation, and configuration management.
  • Experience in infrastructure orchestration using CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Experience with Micro-services architecture, with evidence of use in previous projects.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues within mixed software, hardware, network, and database environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally to other teams on security related matters.
